The privacy policy,
in plain language.

Vibelife (“we”, “our”, “us”) operates Vibe Scanner (“the App”). This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles your information.
The short version. We do not collect, store, transmit, sell, or share any of your data. Vibe Scanner runs entirely on your device. There is no backend server, no user account, and no analytics.
1. Information we collect
We do not collect any personal information from you. Specifically:
- We do not require an account, email address, or phone number.
- We do not include analytics SDKs, crash reporters, or advertising networks.
- We do not transmit your scanned documents, OCR text, AI summaries, or encryption keys to any server.
- We do not access your contacts, photos, or files except in direct response to an action you take in the app (for example, tapping “Save to Contacts”).
2. Information stored on your device
The following information is created and stored locally on your iPhone:
- Scanned document images (encrypted with AES-256-GCM if you mark a document as private)
- OCR text extracted from your scans
- Document metadata (titles, dates, optional expiry dates, tags)
- AI-generated summaries (created on-device using Apple Intelligence)
- Business card information you choose to extract
- Your subscription status (managed by Apple)
- Your app preferences
This information never leaves your device unless you explicitly export, share, or sync it.
3. iCloud sync (optional, off by default)
You may choose to enable iCloud sync in the app settings. When enabled, your documents are synced through your personal iCloud account using Apple's encrypted infrastructure. We do not have access to your iCloud data. You can disable this feature at any time.
iCloud sync is governed by Apple's privacy policy.
4. Apple Intelligence & Translation
If your device supports Apple Intelligence, AI summaries and document Q&A run entirely on-device using Apple's Foundation Models. No data is sent to OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, or any other AI provider.
Apple Translate (iOS 17.4+) translates OCR text on-device. No translation data is sent to Apple servers.
5. Camera and photos
The app uses your device's camera (with your permission) to scan documents. Captured images are processed locally and stored on your device. The app does not access your photo library unless you explicitly choose to import or export an image.
6. Contacts
The app accesses your Contacts only when you tap “Save to Contacts” on a business card. The app does not read or upload your existing contacts.
7. Notifications
If you create an expiry reminder for a document, the app schedules a local notification via Apple's UNUserNotificationCenter. No reminder data is sent to any server. Notifications can be disabled in iOS Settings.
8. Purchases and subscriptions
In-app purchases are processed by Apple. We receive only the information Apple provides through StoreKit (such as your subscription status). We do not see your name, email address, payment method, or billing address. Refer to Apple's privacy policy for details on how Apple handles your purchase data.
9. Children's privacy
The App is rated 4+ and does not knowingly collect any information from children, because the app does not collect information from anyone.
10. Security
Documents you mark as private are encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM. The encryption key is derived from a passphrase you set, using PBKDF2 with 200,000 iterations. The encryption salt is stored in the iOS Keychain. We have no access to your passphrase or your encrypted documents.
11. Third-party services
The App contains no third-party SDKs that collect data. It uses only first-party Apple frameworks: Vision, VisionKit, Core Image, SwiftData, Foundation Models, Translation, CryptoKit, StoreKit, and WidgetKit.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy if our practices change (for example, if we add optional features that involve data transmission). Any update will be posted on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Material changes will be announced in the app.
